ACE Studio Creator Spotlight: Emdas

ACE Studio Creator Spotlight: Emdas

A composer weaving cinematic storytelling with orchestral crossover and new vocal horizons.

A Life in Music, from College Bands to Carnegie Hall

Emdas’s journey in music began casually, singing at college band shows without thinking much about the future. Everything changed when he discovered the works of Yanni and Vangelis. Their blend of orchestral textures and cinematic atmosphere awakened in him a desire to write ensemble pieces that told stories and carried powerful emotion.

“But time, money, and logistics were a problem.” That shifted when a friend introduced him to FL Studio.
“It felt like discovering a secret door. Suddenly, I could compose full scores digitally, with sampled instruments bringing my imagination to life.”

After moving to the U.S. for higher studies, Emdas kept composing and eventually released a contemporary instrumental album. The title track earned him an Independent Music Award for Best Arrangement in 2014, and the following year, he was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall.

“Playing piano at Carnegie Hall was by far one of the most nerve-wracking experiences of my life, with all eyes, cameras, and a grand piano under the spotlight. But it remains one of my most treasured memories.”

Later, Emdas explored jazz and composed several instrumental pieces, but as work took over, music fell into the background. Years later, after relocating to Copenhagen, he found his way back, this time drawn to classical crossover, a genre that blends cinematic orchestration with lyrical storytelling.

Discovering ACE Studio

When Emdas began working on a new piece called Warrior Queen, he realized the song demanded soaring, emotional vocals. The kind of voices independent composers rarely have access to.

“I saw a post on X from a Japanese account. They had shared a vocal track created with ACE Studio, and the realism of the voice immediately caught my attention. I had been experimenting with other vocal tools, but they always felt limited. ACE delivered the soaring quality I had been looking for. Honestly, it felt like stumbling onto the holy grail of singing.”

Warrior Queen: A Story in Music

The concept for Warrior Queen had been with him for months: a compassionate queen who sacrifices her life in battle to protect her people, and whose spirit transcends into the stars. He envisioned the piece in a Celtic-symphonic style, where vocals would be the heart of the story.

“I used Valentina for her airy, ethereal tone in the emotional passages, and Zalo for her powerful intensity during the dramatic battle moments. The contrast worked beautifully to capture the full arc of the story, from compassion to power to transcendence.”

Emdas also layered younger female voices to create a choir effect, carefully adjusting vibrato, phrasing, and panning to make the performance feel alive.

“I spent hours tweaking syllable timing and accents, making sure each phrase had the right breath and emphasis. That’s what gave it a human feel.”

When the track was mixed at Black Tornado Studios in Copenhagen, even the engineer was convinced that part of the choir had been recorded with Icelandic singers.

“I told him it was synthesized with ACE. He genuinely couldn’t believe it.”

The recognition didn’t stop there. Warrior Queen has recently been selected for several international film festivals, including the Seoul International AI Film Festival, Crown Wood International Film Festival, Sundarban International Film Festival, and the Asian Independent Film Festival.

These honors are more than personal achievements—they highlight how ACE Studio’s lifelike vocals can stand alongside professional orchestral, film, and musical productions. It’s remarkable that a track created with ACE can reach global audiences and be recognized at award-winning international festivals, underscoring the platform’s potential to empower composers across creative industries.

A New Way of Composing

For Emdas, ACE Studio became more than just a source of new voices. It transformed the way he writes. What once felt impossible without real singers is now part of his everyday workflow, from expressive lead performances to full choral harmonies with lyrics.

“ACE hasn’t replaced creativity; it has given it room to grow. For me, it unlocked a whole new lane that was previously closed off.”

He also appreciates the practical benefits. Traditional choir libraries often demand massive amounts of disk space while limiting you to preset syllables. With ACE Studio, he can input real words, design harmonies, and maintain a streamlined workflow.

“I also noticed they recently added a solo violin. That makes me hopeful. If this is just the beginning, imagine what other instruments and possibilities might follow.”

Next Chapters in the Journey

While Warrior Queen remains his signature ACE-powered project so far, Emdas is already branching into new directions. One is a bright, groove-filled funk track inspired by Stevie Wonder. The other is a darker rock project, where Zalo’s dramatic edge helps capture a gritty intensity.

He is also curious about exploring custom voice modeling in the future, as a way to expand his palette even further.

Although he often works alone, he is open to collaborations.

“I’d love to work with musicians who are curious about blending traditional and modern approaches. There’s so much potential when both worlds meet.”

And he hopes ACE’s voice roster will continue to grow.

“I’d love to see some gritty male rock-style voices, something like Creed, Dream Theater, or Poets of the Fall. That would open up a whole new layer of versatility.”

A Passion That Keeps Evolving

From casual band shows and jazz compositions to Carnegie Hall and orchestral scores, and now to vocal storytelling with ACE Studio, Emdas’s journey shows how passion never disappears; it evolves.

“Music has always been my way of telling stories. ACE Studio has given me the freedom to tell those stories in a way I couldn’t before. And for me, that’s priceless.”

He also encourages others to take the leap.

“I’d absolutely recommend ACE Studio to anyone even slightly curious about it. If you’re a composer looking to create vocal music but don’t have access to singers or a full production team, this tool is totally worth trying. It’s expressive, flexible, and genuinely inspiring to work with.”
